Hello and welcome to the world of possibilities. With over thirty years of experience working with people I have developed a keen understanding of how our bodies work for us and how sometimes we work against the good work our body is trying to accomplish. When we have physical distress in our body, often the body protects us from feeling it, by blocking blood and nerve supply. This is a voluntary act on the part of the body often requiring muscles to stay contracted to some degree to allow us to continue on. It's good in an emergency but left unattended it can lead to a delay in healing because the we may not stop and rest and heal. If we do rest, we might feel worse as our body begins to release the distress.  A dialog between our body and our mind ensues telling us of the distress. A good massage is helpful because as your massage therapist I can systematically and sensitively feel and hear the conversation and help you interpret what your body is saying. This state of body awareness allows the systems of the body to begin the healing process.
